Mary Ann Spencer:  

Transferred from East Valley HS to Shadle Park HS in my Junior Year and was: One of 900 graduating in class of 1965. University of Washington grad BSN 1973 Joined US Air Force Reserves 1976 as Flight Nurse and traveled around the Pacific Theater for almost 3 years. Transferred from USAF to US Army because the USAF would not take single parents but the Army would. Moved to TEXAS in 1982 and worked as RN in ER. 1998 to 2012 worked as travel nurse in ER in many states from HI to NC but mainly out west. I am clocking up the number of states I have ridden my horse to see how many I can ride in before I am forced to stop riding. Deployed to Iraq in 2003 with Special Operations Unit. Received Bronze Star for my work there. US Army retired me in 2007. Went back to school in 2012 to use my Post 9/11 GI Bill and complete Master's Degree in Family Nurse Practitioner at University of Texas El Paso in 2014. So now the challenge of finding a place to work that practices appropriately and not JUST FOR THE $$$. I had 4 children all served in US Military eldest son graduated West Point in 1995 and was pipe major in the West Point Pipe Band his senior year. 2nd son served US Army in USA and Turkey 3rd son served US Marine Corps 4th is my only daughter who is military police and has deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan and GITMO...Expand for more
